Takara Tomy's new "Overgear" series of "Transformers" figures is based on the concept of "real mecha"! It features realistic vehicle modes and robot modes crafted with intricate detail. Designed from the perspective of a combat weapon, the series offers a wide range of play and display possibilities through customizing with various weapon parts and connection joints.
The third entry in the series features the Autobot commander-in-chief, Optimus Prime! As the leader of the Autobot resistance, Optimus Prime commands the warriors fighting for freedom. He transforms into an eight-wheeled tank transporter, and has personally infiltrated GOA, the Decepticons' largest covert base.
Both the vehicle and robot modes feature numerous 3mm and 5mm joints, allowing for the attachment and swapping of the included accessories.
Accessories include weapon and equipment parts such as an assault rifle, middle pod, hatchet. and smoke discharger. Mounting parts are also included to attach this equipment to the figure.
The set also includes a story sheet designed to look like a classified document, a spec sheet styled as a blueprint, stickers, and a folder to organize them all.
